“Why is there so much hair!?”

I’ve asked myself that more times than I can count… usually while standing next to my car or bed, covered in fur, sand and that familiar wet-dog smell.

This is Willow. She’s 8.5 years old now, and I’ve had her since she was a pup. And if there’s one thing she’s been consistent at, it’s shedding. Everywhere.

I am Lochie, i've been a dog owner my whole life. I’ve always had dogs, and I know exactly what it’s like to love a dog that leaves hair on everything you own.

Over the years I've tried every product I could find. Different towels. Brushes. Sprays. “Miracle” solutions.

Some helped a little. Most didn’t.

And eventually I realised why.

I wasn’t using bad products…
I was using products that simply weren’t made for this job.

They weren’t designed for beach dogs.
Adventure dogs.
Car rides after muddy walks.
Or dogs like Willow.

That frustration turned into an idea.

What if there was a brand made specifically for hairy, messy, adventure-loving dogs and the people who go crazy loving them.

Not dogs that live spotless lives.

Real dogs!

Hairy Dog Co. was built around three simple beliefs:

1. Dogs should live full, messy, adventurous lives.

2. Dog owners shouldn’t have to stress about the cleanup every time.

3. Products should be practical, honest, and designed for real use.

So we started creating more specific products, tools actually built for the realities of dog ownership, not just what looks good on a shelf.

Today, everything we make is inspired by Willow
and by years of fur in my car, hair on my clothes, and towels constantly in the wash.

Hairy Dog Co. exists so you can say yes to the adventure without dreading the aftermath.
